Guest guest
Well, there does seem to be a lot of high priced DAN! doctors out there. If they were all good I wouldn't say anything about it, but in all honesty I find it an affront to human dignity that they charge that much when most of them are so bad. Mostly it is the selection of an inappropriate business model that forces them to charge insane rates - and also encourages them to do a lot of things that are not in the children's best interests (glutathione injections, monthy visits, lots of testing and management so as to " heal the gut before chelation " , etc.) The business model is the need to have a big clinic and lots of staff - the doctor has to charge enough to support them. This is hard to do without a lot of associates. Also the business model involves inadequate promotions so each patient has to come back a lot if the doc is going to make it financially. You all can help remedy this situation by telling every doctor you see about how all these DAN! doc's take a class, read a few pages of protocol, then get $300 an hour and people line up at the door to pay it cash, no insurance billing. People looking for a good deal who are in Washington can try ARNP who is very good at this and charges $135 an hour. Or stick with the ones who are on insurance that you have. Andy . . . . . . . . > I am curious what you all pay for a DAN doctor. My DAN doctor was $250 an hour and now is $300 an hour. Is this reasonable? My insurance doesn't cover my DAN, because out of the area of my PPO so I pay every cent. : ( Carla

No. You're going to have to manage the case with any south FL doc I know, though a few of the parents have found reasonable ones and might contact you privately about that.
