Alice,

Thanks for taking the time to share this....it sounds like something I would

really like and I've been looking for new things to try. I don't know about

everyone else but I have a hard time looking at recipes. I try to make food

prep and eating as short as possible. I start looking at recipes and it makes

me hungry for other things I shouldn't have!

Thanks,

Pam

By the way, College Inn now makes a turkey broth that is very good. I put it

in the blender with some steamed broccoli, a dollop of low-fat cream cheese,

onion powder, garlic powder and a little pepper... blended it well and had the

most delicious, thick, hearty soup in 10 minutes. Try it... you'll like it!

This an ambitious undertaking and each person has their own food preferences.

Tolerance of eggs, nuts and legal dairy differ. Some need to restrict certain

vegetables or

fruit. .SCD is a long term diet and we need to begin to practice doing our own

menu. You

can use The Stages a guide even though thet are not mandatory.

www.fitday.com

is a great place to plan menus and track food intake and it's free.

Kelli, I have a question for you. First of all, that was very nice of you to

give all of those meal suggestions, I'm not the one that asked for them, but

I find them incredibly helpful. Second, you said that you make hamburger

patties. I made my son a hamburger patty for lunch (thanks to you for the

idea) and it was very plain and blahsay. How do you make yours?

Thanks,

Amber.

I am not Amber; however, my kids get their patties with salt and minced garlic.

They devour them that way.

Your welcome! Well you can make meatballs with egg and pureed veggies. I add

salt and Italian seasonings sometimes. I think McCormick brand is safe but

someone might be able to say for sure. Fresh basil, garlic pureed is very

good too. If I were going to make them for myself...I would add onions-so

yummy! But they are a problem for some people.

I usually just add salt to the hamburgers and my kids eat them, lol. But

they are toddlers and will eat almost anything.
