Guest guest
Those are great ideas..... Have you ever tried rice pasta? You can find it in health food stores usually - it looks/tastes like pasta, but it's made from only rice and water... Beth
Guest guest
Shana -- Have you ever tried using rice paper that can be found at Asian Food Markets. It is very thin and comes in round sheets. It can be used like a burrito wrap but is made completely out of rice instead of wheat or corn flours? Secondly, have you ever heard of a sweetner called Agave nectar. It can be found in food specialty stores and resembles the appearance of honey. I found that it is great on rice cakes and/or rice crackers. It also has a much different intake rate than honey or sugar and therefore is very safe to use even if you were diabetic. Just thought I'd pass along our two " secrets " using rice ;o). Cindy -- in Colorado mommy to 7, 6 and (almost 2, g-tube fed with Neocate, former FTT, SID, hypotonia, undiagnosed food allergies, on a very restrictive diet but can have peaches, bananas, rice, pears, carrotts and a few other veggies and fruits ;o)

Guest guest
, Since jasmine rice is white rice, it is a no-no on the SBD. You CAN however have the brown jasmine rice. I think it's mostly available at health food stores. Here is a link that might be of use to you. http://importfood.com/nrco0508.html Paola > > Hello, > > To all you experts ; ) ... > Is Jasmine (thai) rice acceptable in phase 2 or 3? > http://www.therice.org/jasmine/whyjasm.htm > > > > >

The SBD doesn't like grains that have had their outer layers removed. If you can find it intact then that's ok.
