Just had word that my gr grandbaby broke her leg , Jumping off the bed no less, putting a cast on it at and White as I understand so far. Hope it was the one where she is limping with the rheumatoid arthritis and maybe that will straighten that leg out, if there is a good thing to this. But she is only 21/2 and don't know how they will keep her down.

Hugs,Jackie

So sorry about the grandbaby but I bet she wont slow down much.

Jackie, I am sorry to hear about your grandbaby. There is no way you keep them down. My son had a double fracture right above the ankle when he was 18 months old. Took him back the first week the cast was mulutated (sp) and the Dr. said what is going on with this, I asked well how do I keep him from walking on it. he said O.K. we'll put a walker heel on it and it will throw him offbalance and he can't walk on it then...the Dr. was right could not walk on it but could sure run on it.!!!!! plus would get in bed and lay there and kick the end of the bed with the cast... In fact had to take him out of the baby bed. He wanted to get in bed by himself but we would put him in, and then hear a THUD, go look and he was laying down, finally put him in bed and ran around to another door (old house) that room had 3 doors in it. )hahaha sure enough put him to bed he would stand up grab that cast and

throw it over the edge of the crib...thump he hit the floor, then climb back in and lay down...so had to take him out before he broke his neck.....THAT was one hard headed kid.... had cast on at 9 months to straighten his club feet, so take the cast off his leg and gee it was straighter than the other one then. The Dr. said it would take an adult 9 months for a fracture like that to heel. he was 7 weeks. so you may have to put on roller skates to keep up with the granddaughter. Jackie, I will be praying that this little set back has good results for Mia. Kids bounce back so quick.

Hugs,

baby

thanks all about little Mia and her leg, still haven't heard from them, but I am sure she will keep going,

she didn't let the rheumatoid arthritis get to her so this probably won't either.

Vernie sounds like you had a time with yours too, it's crazy what they can do. Sure wish I had the energy they do. But she does keep me hopping when she comes over.

Hugs,jackie
