Have you tried any of the breads in Lucy's Cookbook? I bake them in a

loaf pan, slice thin, then bake in a low oven for about 2 hours. The

onion-parmesan goes over well but there's also a garlic one. If there are

any legal packaged ones, though, try them out. It will make your life

easier and sometimes things that come packaged have more kid appeal. Not

something we necessarily want to encourage but if it makes it easier for

the kids, go for it.

Take care, Fay

Hi ,

Rice is not SCD legal. The bad gut bugs just love it....They then

multiply and emit toxins that destroy our children's stomach and

brains.

How about giving your child meringues? There is a recipe on

www.pecanbread.com for meringues.

Oh sorry, I directed to nut recipes. You can make nice crackers by naking

grated

parmesan cheese on parchment paper and letting it cool.

Sorry guys, I think that you did not get my second message. I did not mean

to confuse anyone.

This is why I asked about the rice. We have the following problem: My

daughter is 11 months old and she is allergic to all meats, all nuts and

most veggies. She still breastfeeds, luckily. The problem is that I have

severe MCS (multiple chemical sensitivities) that I developed after the

pregnancy. It is sort of the same problem that our kids have, but as an

adult. When I get flare-ups, my milk production goes down quite a bit.

Because of her severe dietary restrictions, sometimes we have incur in some

infractions. We give her the minmimal amount of illegal foods that would

stop us from going to the hospital. At the hospital, they start her on

fluids and it is even worse, not to mention their resistance to what we are

doing.

We have noticed that of all the illegal foods, rice and roots have harmed

her the least short term. We have tried diluting the milk, preparing legal

electrolyte solution, and even keeping her hungry so that she likes the

legal foods that she is not allergic to, which are very few. Nothing has

worked for that. So, at those times, we go into infractions until she is out

of immediate danger. I know that this sets her back, but the alternative is

even worse.

We are still working towards 100% scd, but are not quite there yet. Because

her allergies are so severe (laryngospasm most of them) adding new foods has

proven to be a very challenging and slow process.

I hope that this clarifies and helps understand my question better.

Any ideas?

Thanks
