Guest guest
, I can;t believe how selfish your brother is being. you should ask him if he loves your child or not. I personally wouldn't even go. I would tell him straight out and make it his choice. He's the one that will have to live with it. We have turned down things due to smoke, but all restaurants etc. in Australia are smoke free. Why cant he state that his guest can smoke but only outside. My sister & brother in law to be had there engagement at my parents. Both of them smoke as does ALL his family. But there were signs upon entering my parents property. We put some chairs in a circle and a pot of soil in the middle. It was well away from everyone so the smokers could go there and none of us had to breathe their disgusting habit in. Good luck (Australia) Mummy to Liam 8wocf & Eilish 5wcf wedding reception I'm SO resentful and upset right now that it isn't even funny. I had problems with Kindergarten ( Thank you to all who posted to me ) and now..... My own BROTHER won't have a non-smoking sign at his wedding reception. He would rather have smoking than us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am I bad for wishing a special needs child on them (CF).???? from PA

Guest guest
Wow...denial never ceases. My sister (a head nurse with a masters in denial). Was telling a Dr. at a Hospital about my " bad " luck...he said that he was treating a white woman with Sickle Cell....she never knew of her family history. , your story shows us to NEVER assume or judge a book by its cover! I start out with Please breathe...by the time I finish I am onto breathe dammit lol...... Rosemary in New York with 3 children with CF - they are 12, 9.8, 5.9...I coined the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT " ; and now we have a dog named - are you ready for this - TOBI after their medication! Guest guest
Hi ! I, too, homeschool my children. I have 4, G's 18,19 and B's 11,15. I've been homeschooling from the beginning....which is now about 15 years. Obviously, you love your children/family very much because you decided to make the sacrifice to teach them at home, this is just another thing that you are teaching them. You are teaching them self control and good eating habits, which in the long run will not only enable you to take care of your family better but it will make them better. My weight is something my children have seen me struggle with all their lives. I wanted to show them that although it's hard, it still has to be done because it's important. Anyway, the single piece of advice that I CLUNG to during my first 2 weeks....I received it from someone that's lost 75 lbs. on the SBD. He told me if I could make it the first two weeks, I was in. Guess what? He was right. The first two weeks were terribly difficult for me. I had to make eating and meal prep very simple. Little by little you learn how to prepare more food ahead of time and how to grab snacks when you need them. It WILL get easier and you won't believe how much better you'll feel even after losing 5 lbs. My family has really cheered me on and is proud of my success, but this group knew what I was going through and it was such a God send that I could ask them questions or whine about my sufferings. Someone was always there to help me. Just my 2 cents worth! Take care, Pam Hello all. I've enjoyed reading all your posts and recipes. I've only been lurking since joining and I haven't started the diet yet. My name is , I'm 38, I've been married to my best friend for 13 years and am blessed to homeschool our two children dd11 and ds8. I need to shed around 100 lbs. I've been doing a lot of crying since the new year and worrying about my health so I guess it is time to do something. I've tried every diet there is and failed! I think I've convinced myself I can't do it and have set myself up for repeated failure. Low-carb is going to be really hard for me because I am definitely addicted to carbs. I was wondering if the Slim-Fast low carb option fits in okay with South Beach. Some days it would be really nice to just be able to grab a can to drink for breakfast or lunch. I hope to be starting on this plan next week if I can make it to the store before then. I look forward to being able to contribute to the group. Blessings,
