I microwave it for a few minutes (after poking holes in it so it doesn't

Just be careful, my mother sliced off the top of her thumb cutting one when I

I cut mine prior to nuking -- actually, thanks to someone's suggestion here,

I ask the produce guy to cut it for me.

I've never had a problem with it being watery either. I put about 1/4 cup of

ff chicken broth in a shallow baking dish, place the squash halves one at a

time face down, cover with saran and microwave for about 15 minutes. I

probably could fit them both in the microwave but the only glass dish I have is

too

small.

I didn't know you could ask the produce department to cut it for you? That

would be a huge help... I'll have to check that out!

I was all apologetic about it the first time but they were so nice and said

they get a lot of requests like that. Now I know a few of the guys by name!

I know my mother microwaves hers too (much quicker that way). I didn't know you

could ask the produce department to cut it for you? That would be a huge

help... I'll have to check that out!
