Guest guest
Debra, The SBD is not a starvation diet. The goal of the meal plan isn't to reduce intake but to turn it to healthy foods. (Intake reduction comes later, usually quite naturally.) What you describe below is not a healthy diet and not what the SBD would encourage. If you eat the SBD way, you're going to notice many changes in your body. As your get away from the unhealthy eating habits you've formed, you're going to find yourself pretty daggone hungry initially. This is a natural result -- your body is reacting to what's going on. Just stick to the plan, have your meals and snacks, and take it from there. Eat only what's on the allowed-list. What did you eat on the days where you had problems? List out your day's menu for us, let us have a looksee.

Guest guest
Thanks guys.... I may not have explained myself very well on my first post. I did eat 3 meals plus one snack. I am definitely not starving myself, so no problem there. However, I did not eat as soon as I woke up. I excercise for about 45 minutes on my eliptical machine every morning after I have my coffee. I simply waited until I felt hungry which was not until noon. On one of the other SBD boards it was suggested that I try decaf which I will and to eat something small prior to excercising and a regular breakfast afterwards, which I will try today. Yesterday's food: Coffee first thing in the morning Metamucil and 24 oz water after workout B (11:30am): Omlet made with 2 whole eggs and 1 egg white added mushrooms and peppers plus 3 slices of Canadian bacon. L (3:30pm): Celery sticks with tuna salad. D (7:00pm): Chicken breast, salad, brussel sprouts. S (8:30pm): 10 -15 almonds
Guest guest
Trish, I dont have many ideas for you as I am just starting also. I was wondering the same thing this morning so I can't wait for some ideas from others. I know we can do this. I am trying to do things with eggs also. Mix with broccoli, or cheese or something differant everyday so at least it is a differant flavor, hard boiled and scrambled. Heck I had a salad the other day for breakfast. I just coudn't look at another egg. Good luck. Remember that after this first couple weeks we can eat a few more options so I just keep telling myself I can do anything for 2 weeks right. Eggs, Eggs lol sherrie

Guest guest
Hi Trish and all, You are not limited to eggs for breakfast. You can have any of the Foods to Enjoy from the Phase list you are on. If you want green beans and Brussels sprouts for breakfast, go right ahead. Soup is a good option as well. Make a pot the day before and put it in the fridge. Nuke a bowl in the morning. Easy, good and hot. -- Ann hayakawa@... You spend your life fighting dirt, and when you die they bury you in it. Guest guest
For breakfast, how about cheese sticks, nuts, cottage cheese, plain or artificially sweetened vanilla yogurt, turkey and cheese slices, or leftovers from dinner? My daughter loves having feta stuffed chicken burgers or salmon burgers for dinner. ann > > Hi > > I am wondering if anyone out there knows of any good recipes for > breakfast that don't include eggs. Guest guest
I meant to say that my daughter loves those for breakfast, as leftovers, not just as dinner. ann > > For breakfast, how about cheese sticks, nuts, cottage cheese, plain > or artificially sweetened vanilla yogurt, turkey and cheese slices, > or leftovers from dinner?
