Guest guest
Dorit, Sounds like a " little what if " is scaring you, do all the thing necessary to put your mind at ease and have all your affairs in order before you go under the knife ( I had my will revised ) and told all my family that I loved them and good by it is scary its what every Bandster go through but you have to do what you feel is right for you, you can still change your mind up to the last second before you lay back on that table and close your eyes, I was thinking of changing my mind even before I got on the plane, thinking " what if " and am I crazy going off to a strange land not knowing whats going to happen if the " what if " happens. it takes courage! Ken Am I crazy ? > > >Hey people... > >I have haad this thought haunting me in the last 48 hours and it makes >me feel yucky... I keep thinking I should have letters for my loved ones >before I got into surgery, you know, just in case something does >happen... to tell them how much i love them and everything and to make >sure they know i want my organs donated in case... >Ok, so one hand, my mind is saying... it's a good thing, hon, it'll >relax you, even though the odds are tiny... better safe than sorry (not >that i would be around to regeret it...) and besides, if it makes you >more calm, then do it... >Then the other hand of my mind is saying-- isn't this a bit too weird ? >aren't you panicking just a bit too much here ? isn't it like predicting >complications before they even started ?? starting things on the wrong >foot ??? > >Have you done this ? Or am I just losing my mind ? > >~ Dorit in Israel > > >------------------------------------------------------------------------ >Start a new hobby. Guest guest
Oh our dear Dorit, honey, honey, honey, we have all been there where u r at this moment. am i doin the right thing? maybe i should try one more diet! if i hit 450 i can sign up again! what the heck am i signing my name to? i have a high tolerance to anestetics...oh by the way i also have a realllly high tolerance to pain killers. and my own personal favorite was 'oh well if it goes sour, i wont know it, i will be out of it' i can not tell u to calm down and not worry. u will worry anyway. i looked real cool and calm that morning. nurses asking how i was..'just fine mumum, just fine and dandy' they took my blood pressure it was 160 over 140 my normal is 90/80 was there a stroke hooverin..geez i thought i was a little nervous but that was rediculous. so write your letters say the words it is all normal (there it is again that word...normal....what the heck IS NORMAL) i wrote a letter to my children thr first time i was gonna fly. it was to be read if something happened. well i pull it out everytime i fly, i pulled it out for the surgery it is getting mangled and dirty and i am now having a good laugh about with my husband. he's a wise guy and thinks i might want to put it on disc so i may update it and change it from flight to plight etc. so it does the trick for me but now i have gotten superstitious about the damn letter and i have to pull it out before i go or i might jink myself. the stupid letter has now become a good luck charm of sorts. i am thinking of mass marketing them for travelers and bandsters. so get in line and give me the names of your loved ones, i will gladly get a letter off telling them how you loved them, etc. bla bal bal. so no Dorit u r not crazy...a little bazaar perhaps but we love u OOXXOO ibselle
