Hi Tan from Kota Kinabalu, this info is for you.

RM20, 000 is very costly for the average Malaysian.

(Dr is in private practise) - he says he has trained under Dr Burt Brent. Many of the parents I know will find it difficult to manage this cost. Here we do not have insurance coverage for congenital deformities.

Prof Lokman of HUKM, Cheras uses the polyethelene framework method and this costs RM6,000

The Plastic Surgeon in UMMC, using Dr Burt Brent method (3 stages) costs about RM6,000

The child is currently on stage 2, the mom is happy with the results. Will have to contact the mom again for further details.

Hope this info helps.
