Guest guest
Carmen, My mom, who is a nurse practitioner, said to take Evan off the PolyVIFlor, too much flouride is harmful to our kids. My dentist told me that you can brush your teeth with only water as long as you are doing it the right way you'll remove all the yucky stuff. It is not uncommen for kids to have cavities, especially on the back molars, because they are tough to get at and remove the food, etc., Is the tooth a baby tooth? Guest guest
BTW, congrats to my pal Devin for a successful dental appt. As always he gets through these milestones like a trooper and he'll be fine when the cavity is filled. Watch out for mercury filings! Guest guest
Yes, Debbie, it's a baby tooth. The dentist said he will have it until he is 12, which is why he needs the filling. Guest guest
My son is starting SuperNuTher and our doctor told us to stop our multivitamin given by the ped and gave us a RX for floride since SNT doesn't have any. Does this sound right (Iforget the amount I don't have the script in front of me.) Dawn Re: First Dentist Appt. Guest guest
, What a trooper that Ian is. It's really hard to tell how Devin will react to the filling. The cavity is in a back molar and I don't think he could go without the anesthesia, but I'll check with the Dentist to see what he thinks. I thought I had read something on a list about the negative affects of floride, so I figured I would get feedback on this. I think I'll definitely stay away from the floride and just help him brush at night to make sure I get all the junk out. Thanks, Carmen amterry@... wrote: > > In a message dated 1/27/01 11:34:13 AM Eastern Standard Time, > carmen.sargent@... writes: > > << The bad news is that Devin has a cavity in his back molar! Guest guest
We are having better luck with tooth brushing since buying an electric toothbrush. He really likes it and now allows us to brush his teeth for more than just a minute. It must be good for sensorimotor, too. We also use Tom's of Maine Strawberry.
