Guest guest
Being an instant fan of Spurlock's " Supersize Me " , I was curious about the " detox diet " his girlfriend had planned for him. After a bit of searching, I came across her book. (Yup, everyone made money off that movie. ) The book is called " The Great American Detox Diet " by son. It carries a 2005 publishing date so it's also a recent edition. Rather than but it, I checked it out of the library and now I think I might just buy it. I'm about 50 pages into the book so far and I am impressed. son has hit the nail on the head so far. If the remaining couple hundred pages are as good as the first 50, I'll be recommending this book out to lots of folks. The main premise of the book is what I and others here have been saying all along -- you have to detox your body, not diet. That means getting out the gunk-a-junk that's in there and eating healthy. If you have a little reading time available, you might want to pick it up. As I mentioned, I'm only 50 pages into it (I just picked it up at the library the other day) but I anticipate having the book done by the end of the weekend, maybe beginning of next week, if all goes well. Has anyone else read the book yet? More on it as I get through it....
