Yes, do the u/s. However, if I can encourage you to keep ONE surprise

for delivery day..... don't ask the sex!!! I had a number of u/s done due

to pre-term labor and a difficult pregnancy. I was adamant that I did not

want to know the sex. The best part of L & D was when DD arrived &

she was placed on my tummy & I was told, " Congratulations! You have

a beautiful daughter " ! After years of infertility and giving up the dream of

ever being pregnant, this was the most wonderful experience I could

imagine!

We wait until Christmas to know what is behind the pretty paper, why

not for babies??????

This is my feeling, too. We didn't find out with any of our 5 and I'm so

glad we didn't. It was such a thrill to find out after all the work of

labor and delivery if we had a boy or girl, and to find out if our

'hunches' all along were right....I was right only 2 out of 5 times, LOL.

Can we use Mayo ? Does it have to be low fat or fat free or just regular in

phase 1
