I have 3 fibroids, 2 very small intramural ones( each 1.5cms approx.) and 1 of 3.2cms which my doctor says " appears " to be impinging into the uterine cavity.Although my periods are heavy,especially on the 2nd day, a new pattern has emerged this year whereby my period seems as though its coming to end i.e. the flow has all but stopped and then whoosh - I start passing big clots. This is what happened in January and again this month too. I dont understand it - my doctor said that it is a sign that the period is very heavy and I agree, as I pass clots on the 2nd and heaviest day. However, in this case the flow has stopped and after the clots are passed there is a bit of bleeding and then it stops again!!! I am already very anaemic and the clots are not helping. I'd appreciate any light that can be shed on this problem.Why ,for example, can't the uterus expell all this blood and where on earth is ALL this blood coming from?
