Uterine fibroids and BC pills

Has anyone had uterine fibroids or ovarian cysts while taking BC

pills. I have been doing some research on the net and articles seem

to indicate that there is a decreased incidence of uterine fibroids

and ovarian cysts while on BC pills. I have been on BC pills for 20

years and recently have had problems with pelvic pain and absent

periods. I am 38. I am having a pelvic sonogram on Feb. 27 to check

for these things and don't want to waste my time or money. Any

thoughts?
