Guest guest
I've been trying to keep up with reading all the mail from the group, but some days I just have time to delete the emails without reading them. I'm sure I'm missing a lot of valuable information that could help me, but I'm overwhelmed/stressed right now and need to focus on what I should do for my tumors. I just found out a couple of weeks ago about my fibroids. I know the largest one is 10 cm and the doctor says my uterus is about the size of a 3 month pregnancy. I'm convinced it's grown since then, but I don't really know. I just know it's depressing knowing about the tumors, but at least it explains why I have been having so much trouble buying pants the last 6 months. In order for pants to fit my stomach, they are very baggy everywhere else. To make my long story shorter, my doc wants to do a hyst., I've requested a visit to an IR to see if embolization would work. We're waiting for insurance authorization. How do I know if I want to keep my uterus? I know my bulk problems are quite vexing and I just want these tumors out. I'm kind of worried that the embolization won't shrink them enough. Lately, reading about all the discharges women are having sounds bad too. Also, I've had endometrial ablation and don't bleed any more (I'm 47). One of the drawbacks of the ablation, according to my gyno, is that it the scar tissue can mask cancer since I probably woudn't experience breakthrough bleeding if I had cancer. Should I still keep my uterus? What about natural remedies, including creams and diet? Can anyone point me in the right direction here?
