New here, 10cm fibroid, lost pregnancy at 16 weeks

Hi, just joined the group today. I'm wondering if anyone else has

experienced a second-trimester loss due to their fibroid or fibroid

degeneration.

I was 16 weeks pregnant and out of nowhere my water broke. They

performed a D&E the next day. I was in fibroid degeneration

(confirmed on ultrasound) with pain and fevers over 101 and spent a

week in the hospital.

The plan now is to have an abdominal myomectomy in about 4-6 weeks. I

would never attempt another pregnancy with the fibroid remaining in

place. Hopefully, after healing, we'll be able to try again. I'm 39

years old so the clock is ticking.
