Guest guest
Hi, When you go to the Emergency Room for hemorrhaging, what do they do for it? How long do they keep you there? (I mean, assuming you don't undergo emergency surgery.) Jean
Guest guest
Hi Jean, I landed on ER on 1/12. They did a blood test and found that my hemoglobin count was 8.6. I knew nothing about fibroid then except that I've just heard part of the interview on the NPR radio station and guessed that's what I had. I demanded a sonogram and received one. A large fibroid was confirmed. I told the doctor that blood clots were flowing and that I soaked a pad every 10-15 minutes. One hour before going into ER, I took 3 aspirins which slowed down my bleeding, so the doctor sent me home after prescribing high dose of iron tablets and Provera and telling me to see my gyn the next day. I stayed in the ER over 4 hrs and now that I know better, I wished that they offered me the D&C procedure.
