Guest guest
The Meetup site at http://uterinefibroids.meetup.com lists the following venues as possible locations for the April Meetup in the Boston area: Zaftig's Delicatessen, 335 Harvard St., Brookline Club Passim, 47 Palmer St., Cambridge The Other Side Cosmic Cafe, 407 Newbury St., Boston Zaftig's didn't work out too well last month; it was a little too crowded and noisy. Club Passim is a great venue for folk music, but might not be appropriate for a meetup. The Other Side Cosmic Cafe is really geared toward the college crowd. I'd like to add another location to the voting options, but I'm not sure what to suggest. A Starbucks in Newton or Belmont might be spacious and quiet enough and would also be convenient for most of the members who plan to attend. It would also be nice to meet somewhere where parking is readily available and either free or inexpensive. I particularly had my eye on these Starbucks locations: 2332 Washington St., Newton Lower Falls 244 Needham St., Newton Upper Falls 16 Austin St., Newtonville 474 Woodward St., Waban 47 Leonard St., Belmont 112 Trapelo Rd., Belmont I haven't been to these Starbucks, so I appreciate any feedback about the sites. I know that some Starbucks, like the ones in Wellesley and Westwood are too small for a meetup. The Starbucks nearest me is in Bellingham and is big enough, but that might not be convenient for some meetup members. I'm not especially attached to Starbucks; I'm open to any suggestions for a location. As far as I know, anyone who is a meetup member can add one location to the list of venues that are options for a particular month's meetup. If you know of someplace that's good, please either let me know or go to the meetup Web site and add the venue to the list. By the way, some women from Worcester have told me they're interested in attending the Boston meetup. We'd love to have you join us, but you need to make sure that you tell the Meetup Web site that you want to join the Boston meetup, not the Worcester one. The Worcester one has only two members so far, and you need to have at least five members or else the meetup will be cancelled automatically.
