Have i got fibroids?

In 1996 i gave birth to my first child aged 21 and everything went

smoothly with no problems, As time passed my partner and i became

broody and decided to have another child, but i'm afraid it wasn't to

be.

After trying for a long time i finally became pregnant with

our second child but at 12 weeks i started to lose blood and

miscarried. After that my periods became very heavy with large blood

clots and a lot of pain and cramp, i tried to ignore it and just put

it down to getting older.

In 2002 i got pregnant again after a long time trying, but

like the last time i miscarried again at only 6 weeks. No test were

done at the hospital as to why i had miscarried again, I decided not

to try again as i did'nt think i could go through all the heartache

again.

By september 2003 my periods had become so heavy and

unbearable that i went to see my GP who put me back on the pill, that

was all well and good for a few months and my periods and pain calmed

down a bit, But about 6 months ago i started to experience bladder

problems were i felt like i wanted to go to the toilet all the time

especially at night and when i got out of the bath, i also started to

get a lot of back pain and thought that it might be cystitus but test

results proved that it was'nt. I was perscribed anti-biotics anyway

and they seemed to clear it up for a month but straight after my next

period the sensation of wanting to pass urine was back again so i

went back to the doctors and was prescribed the same anti-biotics

again, but this time they did'nt make a difference, so i went back to

my GP and told him all of my symptoms and he seemed to think it was a

muscle problem. I was then prescribed Detrusitol XL to try to mask my

symptoms but they have'nt made a difference either.

After reading about fibroids i am beginning to think that

my symptoms sound a lot simular to those who have got them as i have

read that fibroids feed off oestrogen in the pill and my symptoms

only started after going back on the pill.

Is there anyone who had the same symptoms as me before

being diagnosed with fibroids? I am only 29 years old.

It seems funny that i should have 1 child with no problems

then go on to have 2 miscarriages with the same partner?
