Guest guest
Hi all, My hubby " Kubby " feels he can answer this question. After all, my RE explained it to him after my surgery. (Remember there are more than one kind of myo.) Myo (otherwise known as a SNIP and TUCK). After trying a resection and failing (fibroid was size of a large orange and not just a little over a inch like the scans said), the RE just made a little cut (4-5 inches). Then he reached in and pulled my uterus out and laid it on my stomach. Cut the uterus open and " SNIPED " out the fibroid (1 pendulated fibroid). Sewed up my uterus. Are you ready... then he " TUCKED " my uterus back inside and sewed my " little " cut back up. See how simple! Kubby says it was no big deal. Nothing to worry about. He felt free to go and eat while I had my surgery. He wasn't worried. So just think " snip and tuck! " Or better yet, go to www.myomectomy.net and get a reality check. I must say that I do NOT regret having my myo, I just regret not doing it sooner. Ku
