Guest guest
I'm afraid to say this too loud for fear it will vanish in the air. With the prednisone and anti-viral meds not only have I stepped out of the coffin but it seems to me that I am much better than I was pre- surgery. The swelling is even diminishing in my feet. Now I haven't switched back to my walker simply because I'm so far behind ...3 sets of taxes to do before Leaving for Mayo. I have found some case studies that document Epstein barr cerebellitis or Guillane barre or cranial nerve involvement produce an anti-neuronal antibody of sorts. There is also documentation in rare cases where EBV generates its own autoimmune stimulated response causing the infected person to attack their own neurons. All this is rare but isn't PLS rare as well. Mainly I'm glad to be alive and will be grateful for that miracle and anymore sent my way.
