Guest guest
Hi all, I'll be getting a abdominal myo in the next few months, am trying to prepare for it [practically and emotionally]. I have two WONDERFUL cats who LUV to sit on my lap, especially when I sit cross-legged to meditate or read. During my 4-6 weeks recovery, I know I will find their presence comforting and don't want to shoo them away. However, I want to protect my incision [from them, and anything else that might accidently bang into my incision]. Has anyone ever purchased or rigged something to strap on your abdomen and cover/protect your incision? It seems do-able: maybe something firm but maybe soft; not too high; perhaps porous [like a spaghetti strainer]; rests on the hip bones; anchored in place by straps around the waist and around the crotch? I could wear it over or under sweat pants. Could wear in my sleep, to prevent said cats from jumping on my belly. Or do you think my entire abdominal region will be too swollen or sore for even a tiny bit of judiciously placed pressure? Would love to hear your thoughts and experience...... ***** Look for the good and praise it! ***** R.--SF | = O = |
