Guest guest Posted February 23, 2004 Report Share Posted February 23, 2004 Hello all, I have been diagnosed with fibroids 2 1/2 years ago, and now is the time i've chosen to have them removed. I was the " wait and see " kind. I've had a hysteroscopy last Tuesday so the doctor could see where exactly the fibroids are located. He want to know if I could get the fibroids only removed, leaving the uterus. The thing is the fibroids are getting so big that we can't see them well enough anymore on a normal ultrasound. So, I had a hysteroscopy last week, but you know what ? I don't remember a thing from that day !!! I was not put to sleep for that but was given medication for I was quite nervous and my blood pressure was a tad high. I also was given pain medication and blood pressure regulator. Good thing my husband was there ... Now, I have an appointment with my doctor next week to discuss his findings. I can't wait to know. I have 1 indication: he has given me a Lupron prescription, so I,M guessing he wants to shrink the fibroids before removing them ... we'll see.
