Is it really necessary to shrink fibroids before myomectomy?

The more I think about my two fibroids, the more I just want them

OUT. I know that since I am anemic, I have to have a certain

hemoglobin level before surgery, but is it really necessary to use

Lupron to shrink the fibroids before a myomectomy? Are the benefits

of having smaller fibroids removed (particularly in a case where

there are only two) really that great (especially when compared to

the possible side effects of Lupron)? Thanks.
