YES IT IS! It does make me feel good, mentally, as well as physically. And they

God for props! With them, we get as much out of a class as anyone else. I need

to see what we have available at our Y. I think I saw that we have Yoga classes

there, too. And also, there is church near here that advertises a gentle yoga

class. But the one I just found is awesome anyone. And it is at a place that

does accupuncture. Has anyone tried that? I am wondering if I should give it a

try, but I haven't gotten up the nerve yet.

: )

hey cathy,

isn't restorative yoga the best??? i've been working

w/a yoga teacher here at my house for a few months and

she took me to a restorative class recently. it was

awesome! you're right about learning to use pillows,

chairs, and other props and, for me, it has also been

letting go of the old ego;-)

i'm like you, i was really into yoga pre-illness but

my practice now is nothing like it was. but i'm coming

around to being okay w/that. i just started taking a

gentle yoga class at the Y a couple of months ago that

one of my old teachers instructs and that's been good.

also gets me out of the house.

btw, i LOVE the end of your post, cathy!!! you are so

right about that!! must ignore the ms spaghettis in

class--hee hee;-)--because it really IS harder now.

thank you for replying. it's so helpful to find out

what's working for other people on the physical

therapy front.
