Guest guest
Hi, I had my myo on Wed June 2 which means tomorrow it will be two weeks. I cannot believe how well I am doing and feeling. I thought this was going to be like a c-section but this was totally different! I attribute my success to mostly my awesome Dr. He really went the extra mile in so many things, for instance: 1. He had those leg massagers on my legs to prevent blood clots 2. I got the morphine button 3. He took out all the scar tissue from my previous 2 c-sections 4. He tied my stomach muscles together that were starting to separate and could have led to a hyrnia (sp?) so I got a mini tummy tuck! 5. He had a catheter inserted in my incision that dripped a numbing medication for three days so my incision didnt hurt at all. And by the time he took it out I didnt feel much pain at all. I was up walking the first day. I am trying to take it easy, but I went to the movies this past weekend and out to dinner. I can bend over and squat. I have so much energy that I have to tell myself to stop and sit down. I even mopped my kitchen floor on Saturday (june 12). I also did a lot of excersising for about a month and half before the surgery and I think that helped alot too. I walked 2 miles a day 6 days a week and lifted light weights so I would be strong. This is not to say that I would want to do this again, but it was just alot easier than i expected. My Dr. who was recommended to me by a gal here in the group and who was recommended to her by Dr. West, and he is supposed to be the best in the west and I can attest to it. BTW I only had one fibroid but it was the size of a giant melon. I only lost about 6 pounds though. I hope and pray you all have the same success I have had, and I hope my recovery continues at the same pace. Overall two things were key, great Dr. and exercise before hand. Love to all, ps I live about 2 hours away from my Dr. but he was worth the drive. Anyone in the L.A. area wanting a good myo Dr. let me know. When it comes to your health dont settle for a mediocre Dr.
