Newbie with odd symptoms

Hi All,

I am new to this group. i had gone to my doctor for a routine

physical and to discuss some GI complaints. During exam an enlarged

uterus was felt. I was sent for an ultrasound and the results

showed a fibroid ( I believe in the uterus) measuring 6cm by 6cm.

i also have a retroverted uterus. My question to all of you is

this: Has anybody experienced colitis type symptoms as well as

rectal pressure and also upper GI symptoms like pain above navel and

bloating with their fibroids. I was also sent to a GI doctor, but

upon hearing about my fibroid, he is halting further testing to see

if I get relief from removal of the fibroid. My family doctor seems

to feel the tumor could be putting presuure on my bowels. I go for

the GYN consult this Wed. I am 45, am also experiencing the heavier

bleeding and pressure in the pelvic region along with sciatic pain.

i am most interested in anyone else who has had similar symptoms, as

I am becoming extremely frustrated with my body right now. Sorry

for the long post....glad theirs a group out there like this.
