Guest guest
I just wanted to add my two cents to what and Marie said about Dr. West and choosing a surgeon. I live in Florida and almost immediately came to the conclusion that I had to leave my area and get on an airplane. Experience in performing myos was the biggest single factor to me. Although I spoke to Dr. West by telephone several times before selecting him, I never had an appointment with him until the day before my surgery. I found him to be incredibly compassionate and understanding, both over the telephone and when I finally met him in person. He conveyed such a confident attitute, that I immediately felt better. When I went to see him, I showed him my MRI that revealed seven fibroids. He immediately said that there were many more, and he would feel them with his fingers and get everyone out. The next day he removed twenty fibroids. My recuperation has been terrific. Nearly eight weeks after surgery, I have totally resumed my physical activities including running on the tread mill. Dr. West had encouraged me to go on the tread mill when I felt up to it. I am lifting weights, and even wore a bikini our friends boat yesterday. Just one other footnote, although Dr. West is not on our plan, the hospital was. Insurance paid the hospital bill as well as the anesthesiologist bill. I don't want anyone to think that I believe that Dr. West is the only Doctor out there. He is the one I used, and thus the one I can talk about from personal experience. ne
