Guest guest
There was a very good show on PBS tonight (in NYC, check your listings for local times), about the history of the birth control pill. Being in my late 40s, I didn't know much about it, or the difficulty in getting it developed. The societal resistance. What it took for Margaret Sanger, pioneer of birth control education in the US, to get together a team to develop reliable birth control. A program well-worth watching. It also made me think.....if they do a show about birth control, somebody realizes that women's reproductive health is an issue of interest. Maybe we can interest them in fibroids? One of those interviewed was Barbara Seaman; I think I've seen mention of her on this list. Is she a member? At the least, I intend to write to PBS and let them know how much I appreciated the show. And that women's health is a big concern that is not getting the coverage it merits. R.
