Well, my dh and I rang in the New Year with sparkling apple cider in our

Waterford crystal goblets and a trip to l&d at 4:30 in the morning! Wasn't that

fun.

Thanks to all the ladies for responding to my newbie post...really made me

feel welcome. I love reading yr stories because they give me a great deal of

hope!

I guess I wasn't clear in my pp, but we're pretty darn sure my little bundle

of joy is a boy! he's not shy AT ALL about showing us what he's got down there,

even though he won't let anyone get his heartbeat. We've had a few good shots

and if he ends up being a she I'll be shocked.

The L&D trip was uneventful-which is good. My contractions showed up as " mild

irritations " (which irritates me-because they HURT!!) weren't affecting my

cervix and the boy was doing well. These trips were they send me home because

everything's " fine " always leave me feeling confused.

1-I'm happy and relieved my little boy is safe and sound and is " home " is

still keeping him in

2-I end up feeling like a nutcase for going in when everything's fine. I HATE

feeling like I'm being looked at and thought of as a drama queen.

So, I'm back home on bedrest. I was thinking about sneaking out on Tuesday

(my birthday) and using my Motherhood gift card to get some comfy pants...but I

think I may have to cancel my planned escape. I guess I'll just have to stick

to online shopping.

My dh is sleeping on the couch now...poor guy. No sleep till 8am last night!

I spend the whole trip into the hospital apologizing to him for the late night

ride. He shrugged it off saying he understood I had to go, just in case.

hope everyone's new year was filled with love and fun and family,

prayers and positive thoughts to all the preggers!
