But I encourage you to do all the research you can to find the best doctor for you. You are smart in joining this group as it has done so much good for so many women including myself. I also encourage you to go anywhere you can even if you have to travel to receive the best care possible. If traveling to Chicago is an option for you I do have an RE that I can highly recommend to you. I can give you his name and number. Just let me know if it comes to Chicago for you. Guest guest Posted February 18, 2004 Report Share Posted February 18, 2004 Sue, If your pains are severe contact your doctor immediately. Better to be safe than sorry. Some of these pains post op are part of the healing process believe it or not. Your uterus may still be contracting and you may experience spotting and bleeding up to 6 weeks according to my surgeon. Call the nurse and ask her to describe your pains to the doctor and get back to you. I hope you feel better and remember to be good to yourself and take it easy. I just went yest. to my new dr. so I think I have quite a road ahead of me. Will find out more when I go next Mon. for my hysteroscopic sono or whatever it is he's going to do. Yes, I am glad I joined this group. It helps to know other women that have gone through, & are going through what I am. Makes it easier to cope with.
