I saw Dr. Zinaman today for the first time. Thank you all for

reccomending him and for the info on his dimeanor. I thought he was

great! He is very attentive, went through every single page of the

medical records I brought and asked questions. He even made a few

jokes, which was great because for some reason I was really nervous.

He had a resident examine me who was quite impressed with my 20 week

uterus, so Dr. Z had to feel it as well. It's now 2cm past my belly

button as I am short-waisted. It grew 2cm in 6 weeks. He asked if I

had named the fibroids yet, and said that at that size most women

do. Did anyone here name theirs? I can think of a couple of names,

but they aren't anything I can type here!

The plan is to do hormone testing on days 3 and 18 of my next cycle

and a hystersonogram in between. No MRI like I thought. Has anyone

had a hystersonogram? Is it very uncomfortable? I had a

hysterosalpingogram before so I'm guessing it's similar.

We talked about myomectomy but did not schedule it yet. He said the

fibroids have to come out as I am way too young to be dealing with

the distress they are causing me. I don't know why women older than

me should deal with the distress either, but that made my day as I

just had my 35th birthday Saturday and it's depressing having to

check the 'over 35' boxes on forms now....
