Guest guest
Just realised I have been posting but I havent actually introduced myself.. Just APPEARED I guess LOL My name is Kaysie. I have a UU with one tube ( that is kinked and distorted), two ovaries with one that is up under my ribs ( left) and no left kidney. I have a DD who is 22 months, Hollie, Who was concieved through IVF and Im currently on my 4th IVF cycle trying for a second child. I had a cerclage put in with DD at 20 weeks due to shortening of the cervix and I was son monitored rest. Was still told i wouldnt go past 28 weeks so was expecting an early baby. I spent a few sessions in hospital with contractions from UTI's and irritable uterus. When I went to meet the neonatal staff at a city hospital ( I live in a small country town 5 hours away) I was also sent to see a genetiscist ( spelling?) who wanted to talk to me. He was interested to hear about all my extra bits and pieces as I also have an extra vertebrae and fused sacrum and crooked tail bone. He said I actually had a syndrome called MURCS, which is rare and there is 50 cases reported world wide. MURCS stands for Mullerian, renal, cervical sydndrome. Some other characteristics are short neck, arms can be distroted and Im very lucky cause a lot of canditates ( is that the word) have spina bifida and sometimes no uterus at all. I went on to have my baby induced at 39 weeks, so that half bit uterus of mine sure did some stretching. She was born at 6 pound 13 ounces.. Has anyone had a large baby with UU? Was wondering if it restricts the growth at all? It must do i rekon. Hollie came out with quite bandy legs which i was concerned may have been from being sqaused up.... Thanks for listenging to my LONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGgg intro.... Kaysie
