Questions:

There's some terrific books on the internet bookseller for

fibroids...pitched at just the right level of depth. Local bookshops

don't have such a good selection.

If you get a new ultrasound done, ask the GP for a print off or

photocopy 'for your own interest'. Some results are more

informative than others.

Yes, you have the right to know these things from your

gynaecologist!!!

It could well do. It could also be something else, but it can be a

fibroid symptom,as fibroids may put pressure on surrounding

organs causing aches and or pains. For some women this

means problems with urination or bowel movements or sex.

A common symptom of fibroids and also associated with some

other gyn problems.

That is because:

Fibroids or some related issue is likely. Just occasionally pain

could be attributed to the wrong thing.

Fibroid/gynaecological problem symptoms:

(May be none, few or many)

*heavy bleeding (flooding perhaps) with clots

*periods of unusual length or timing

*lower back ache

*pain associated with intercourse

*frequent urination

*constipation or bowel problems

*aches or pains in the pelvic area

*perhaps a pregnant look or rounded tummy

*Some women can feel the location of their fibroids and others

can't

*Sometimes an ovarian cyst, a polyp or endometriosis

* Tiredness and other anaemia symptoms associated with

heavy periods

Anything I've forgotten, or got wrong.
