Guest guest
Hi, I've found this site to be so especially helpful to me. I'm almost 46 and was diagnosed with a small, symptomatic submucosal fibroid last year. My first MD recommended complete hysterectomy. Two months and much blood loss later, a second MD recommended everything out (ovarian cancer high, according to her). She put me on low-dose BC pills but bled for another 40 days straight. I immediately transferred all medical records to a Duke University MD where I was diagnosed with an intramural and growing submucosal fibroid. The MD scheduled me for a hysteroscopic resection and endometrial ablation. So far NO BLEEDING! So, get those 2nd and 3rd opinions before doing anything as drastic as removing precious organs from our bodies!
