Andy is not a noun form of an SOB, but rather he possesses:

Super

Obviating

Bluntness

or perhaps could stand for: Seriously Over my head Brain.

***HERE! HERE!***

Andy,

I am new to this group, but I'll have to say that what I've seen so

far in the archives and my posts you've replied to, I have not

detected anything remotely characterized as " SOB " (you should meet my

ex! hee hee). From what I've observed, you can be/are direct, to the

point, or blunt, but that's far from the same. I've found this group

after searching for answers for a few years, and I welcome the

advice, ideas, comments etc, from those who have paved the way before

me and figured out the solutions. Like they say, don't reinvent the

wheel. Those like you who have spent countless hours studying and

researching these issues, illnesses, alternatives, risks, treatments,

etc., either through professional or personal (ie, self or child)

reasons, have really sped intervention up for those of us new to this

information and/or lacking the time, resources, or

knowledge/education to start from scratch with our own research.

In my case, it's my son who is greatly benefitting from the kindness

and generosity that people like you, Dana, and countless parents,

exhibit by dedicating your personal time and energy into being here

for us for support, direction, information, and more. Like I said,

I'm new, but I value the educated information I've already received

here, almost all being supported with links or reference to credible

sources proving accuracy.

There is a vast difference in being an SOB and just being direct. I

for one, don't want to waste your or my time side-stepping the

issues. I'm sure that others seeking and soliciting your advice,

thoughts, and knowledge feel the same way and appreciate your 'no

nonsense' approach. If I wanted to socialize, I'd be in a social

forum or chat room. I'm here for a common cause, and the information

and support that can come with that. Like, just last night, I posted

asking for an ASAP answer...and showing what I perceived as extreme

generosity and good character, you complied with a very appropriate

answer. I know the " SOB " I was married to wouldn't have done that. ;)

SOB? NO! God send? Most definitely!

I personally appreciate you, Dana, and all the parents who have so

willingly given of themselves ALREADY in helping me enter this world

that I've felt in my heart for a long time is the answer I've been

looking for.

Like I said, I'm new here. But I do call 'em like I see 'em. Don't be

too hard on yourself. I'm sure you're the only one that feels you're

that way. And, if someone does, let them go to another forum (or

whatever) and find someone as giving of themselves to help in this

area as you've been.

Respecfully,

Sheila
