Someone told me that he did a myo without incision and she went back to work the next day. Sounds too good to be true or maybe she had a pedunculated fibroid hainging in just the right place. I think i'll just be lucky enough to have a bikini cut when I go in for my myo on April 27. Im going to New York for surgery and having Dr. West do the procedure. It can only be done on fibroids inside the uterus (submucousal) that are not too big. After weeks of reading emails from women in this group I was prompted to seek a second opinion and am glad I did. This week I saw Dr. Keltz (fertility specialist) in Manhattan and am now planning for laparoscopic (for a pendeculated fibroid) and hysteroscopic (for submucosal) myomectomies on 4/29 after 2 shots of lupron. Dr. Keltz is highly experienced in performing both of these procedures. Dr. Keltz is very confident that he will be able to remove my fibroids without an abdominal incision. He says so based on " regular " and saline hysterosonograms. Of course, there is no 100% guarantee and he may have to resort to an incision.
