Guest guest
FREE UFE SEMINARS: CHANGE OF DATE: As I mentioned recently, there will be a number of free patient-information seminars on UFE around the country, sponsored by Biosphere. I have learned that the Stanford lecture I recommended by Dr. Razavi (who was an excellent speaker when I heard him at Opening Doors in Monterey – I REALLY DO recommend hearing him if you can) – HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED. --- It will NOT be on April 22, but WILL be on MAY 13. Here's a link to Biosphere’s UFE web-page where you can keep up with all the details - (go to the bottom for the list of free UFE seminars) http://www.ask4ufe.com/news_events.cfm Ever the “mom,” – I’ll undoubtedly remind you all of this again as the time grows nearer. MEETUPS: Once again – ladies need to VOTE on a location for their MeetUps. The way MeetUps work – at least 5 have to vote in an area, and then at least 5 have to CONFIRM that they will attend in order for a MeetUp to be scheduled and not cancelled. I am very happy to see Chicago added to the list of cities with at least 5. I was pretty sure that you didn’t have to live near salt water in order to want to attend MeetUps – now it appears that any sort of “big water” will do. Maybe some of you landlocked ladies will disprove this “big water theory” also !??!?!? For San Francisco – (my neck-of-the-woods) – 11 are signed up, but only 3 have voted. for April. We need 2 more votes in order to get this thing scheduled & then we’ll be needing 5 confirmations in order to bring it off. If you don’t care where it happens – vote for “no preference” – but VOTE in any event. As for SF locations – we did Stonestown Borders last time – which had free parking & worked out okay but only because it was a pleasant enough afternoon for the outside patio – I wasn’t inspired by it. I’m always up for someplace new anyway and the other 2 places suggested this time are both in the Haight – which should be fun. I haven’t been to either of them before so I voted for the one with the highest rating by previous MeetUp participants. If you’re not signed up for MeetUps yet – or you need to get back to the meeting info to vote -- here’s that webpage again: http://uterinefibroids.meetup.com/ Once you’re signed up – check out the membership so far. . http://uterinefibroids.meetup.com/members/ If there aren’t 5 members in your area consider encouraging others in your area to join – OR changing (by clicking “other cities” on the first page linked above – left side of page) to a city near you with at least 5 members & then VOTE in that area. I know it will take awhile to get these things going in other areas – but hang in there – more areas will get added as more and more ladies sign up. : There are some photos of the January meetings on this group’s photos page - http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/uterinefibroids/lst?.dir=/Meet-Ups!&.src=gr\ &.order=&.view=t&.done=http%3a//briefcase.yahoo.com/ Anyone going to a MeetUp who has access to a digital camera – PLEASE – get some more photos for us. – Send them to Carla & she’ll get them up on our photos page! – and you can post them to the MeetUps page also.
