I AM FIBROID FREE AND I HAVE MY UTERUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My incision is hip bone to hip bone only higher due to

the fact he had to use the original incision which was

too high. He closed it with steri strips because I

was traveling but said if he had had more options or

if things changed it would have been staples. He

likes them better for second operations. I did not

get intercede like (same Dr different situation).

Dr Z is still my recommendation in the Chicago area.

I did a lot of research for the second surgery looking

at IL doctors since IN only had the idiot who did an

eight plus inch incision too high and left in a tumor

because " it isn't a tumor " " I held it so I know "

The guy at the University of Chicago had only done 30

myos last year and his nurses/ receptionists idea of

conversation was how her friend had a hysterectomy and

was fine about it.

Northwestern? wasn't in my insurance that I could

find.

Doc Z, at Loyola had done 60 myos before I saw him

last year per his office staff and hundreds over the

years with only two turned to hysterectomy.

I have had problems but would I go back to him? Yes.

The problems that I had are not his fault. How could

a myomectomy cause muscle weakness. I first saw Dr Z

with a hemo of 8 and on Lupron dose 11 and Megace. As

near as my GP can figure out I was anemic for five

years and critical off and on for a year and two

months even with 11 units of blood over three

transfusions. I did not exercise for that year, I

barely could walk. Breathing was a chore. I spent

months thinking my asthma had worsened when it wasn't

asthma but anemia that made me think I was

suffocating. I am still in Physical Therapy but my

strength is returning. The pain in my back is still

continuos but I hope that will fade with time. I can

now walk for 15 minutes and lift my head 25 times and

do twenty leg lifts without my legs trembling. Do you

get how weak I was? Do you get the cost of a poor

choice of Drs? After my myo (3 months after )I

started PT not able to lift one leg to my knee ten

times. I couldn't do ten situps. I couldn't walk five

minutes at 2 miles per hour.

Doc Z backed up my plea for physical therapy with the

insurance company. He did not leave my hemmorraging

un addressed because it might have been adenomyosis.

He did not leave me to fight bleeding or a lack of it

but ordered test and meds in a timely fashion. And he

didn't ask me for ten thousand dollars up front like

one NY doctor did.

Do I wish this had gone better? Yes! I wish I had had

myo #2 and gone back to work at six weeks and could

walk and ride a bike but no one has said I won't

improve. Can I blame Doc Z for this delay? I could

but it wouldn't be fair. I went to him to fix another

Docs mistakes and he did. But it isn't a quick fix. I

AM FIBROID FREE AND I HAVE MY UTERUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reminder the Doc who got me into this mess was Dr

Caruso (now in IL I believe) he left in the tumor

because he didn't think it was a tumor. He had no

tests to back this up because he ran none till I

insisted.
