I can only speak to my experience with Mircette, but it was not a

good one. My GYN put me on it about two years ago to try and control

my bleeding. We were also trying to extend my cycle length (as many

weeks on the active pills as possible, to try and reduce the

frequency of my bleeding). My body has not responded horribly well

to any type of low-dose control of my cycle (I think I have a very

defiant uterus-- perhaps it's still a teenager), but it particularly

didn't like Mircette. I had a fair amount of breakthrough bleeding,

so I could not rely on it at all. My GYN actually stopped

prescribing it for his patients because another one of his patients

had some unpleasant bleeding issues with it as well.

Everyone's body is different, but I thought I would share my

experience.

Yes, , I've read about this. Apparently the low-dose BCPs have their

advantages for some, but there is a likelihood of breakthrough bleeding, I'm

assuming because of the low dose of estrogen. It's worth a try, but I don't

hold out huge hope. Thanks for sharing your experience.
