Guest guest
Is there a difference in post op after a hysterectomy versus having a myomectomy-I am mostly refering to swelling. I know that many who have had myos talk about how it takes months before the uterus shrinks again and therefore there is swelling and a pouch until that happens, especially when the fibroids were very large and the uterus got very stretched out. Is it logical to say that the swelling would NOT occur when the uterus is removed (and ovaries and cervix kept)? Dawn
Guest guest
Unfortunately, any kind of abdominal surgery usually results in swelling that lasts 3-4 weeks.
