Guest guest
Tangy, Hi again. I will try to answere your questions. Again, your gyno DOES NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE ufe EXCEPT RUMORS!! > I have a question. Now I am getting confused one gyn > today told me that she would not recommend the UFE > operation to me because this type of procedure could > threaten my chances of having children in the future ( > I am childless) apparently there are certain vessels > that are cut that can be vital. Many women have gone on and had a child after UFE! They haven't kept track or documented this but you are definately fertile. There is a very small risk of the ovarian artory to be embolized, but very rare. The IR can avoid this and knows to avoid this!!!! Also she said with > this operation the fibroid is not removed (as it is > with a myo) it just shrinks so there is a risk of the > same fibroid growing again. No, thats not true. I have only heard of 1 women who posted on this list just recently about fibroids growing back. Other than her, chances are good. My IR said there is always the chance of another fibroid forming, (small chance) but not very likely. With myo, your chances are very great that they'll grow right back. And lastly, she said that > there are not enough case studies to verify that this > operation could be good for me. I also found > information on the internet about possible sexual > dysfunction after the UFE operation. Only 1 women posted of loss of sensation from the yahoo embo group. All of the rest of us have had no sexual disfunction. In fact, sex has been even better now. I learned to tell my IR to " avoid the vaginal cervical branch " of the arterys!! They know this and can avoid this. I know this is > personal but I am just trying to navigate thru all of > my possibilities. I have been struggling for so long > I just want to do the best thing for me, my uterus, > and my cervis. I really recommend you join the yahoo embo group. You will get 1st hand information from those of us that have had this done. I'll try to get you the link. I was all freaked out and worried about these things also. But with my own personal research and the embo group, I found a fantastic IR and learned to have faith in the procedure. You can not get this from your gyno unfortunatly. As of today, I am so happy and grateful to have my life back again, and highly recommend this procedure. I can't speak for the future. No procedure if fool proof, but this is the least invasive way. You can email me privately if you'd like more information. jenficks@...
