Guest guest
Hey , Sounds you are from North Carolina like me. I had thought about driving to Duke if I could not find a good IR to see. I found one in Winston-Salem. I was suppose to have a UAE last week, but my insurance deny the procedure, so the doctor is appealing on my behalf. I had thought about going to another OB/GYN for a 2nd opinion on my fibroids. I did get two opinions on the UAE procedure. I had a myo in 1998 and the tumors came back. I do not want to go that route again. Keep in touch; I still might have to drive a little further to get another opinion for the insurance and I will to. Guest guest
I have CIGNA HMO. Laurie had sent me a web site information today on CIGNA and they do pay for UAE procedure. I also faxed the information to my IR. I never had any problems with them on the MRI. In fact, I have never had any problems on anything until this. I am doing like Dr. Kirsch told me to sit back and let my IR handle the appeal. Who is your insurance company? > > > what insurance do you have? my insurance denied >me for an MRI. > >--- Abee wandsabee@...> wrote: > > I was suppose to have a UAE last week, but my insurance deny > > the procedure, so the doctor is appealing on my > > behalf. Guest guest
Fight with them!!!!!!!!!An MRI is one of the better ways to see something. If my first idiot Dr had taken the photos and MRI into the operating room with him maybe I wouldn't have had to find a new Doc who did take the MRI into the operating room to do the surgery right My insurance company required some prompting too to okay the MRI but they did after hearing from the Drs me and more --- tangy tangy_10801@...> wrote: > what insurance do you have? my insurance > denied > me for an MRI. > > --- Abee wandsabee@...> wrote: > > I was suppose to have a UAE last week, but my > insurance deny > > the procedure, so the doctor is appealing on my > > behalf. Guest guest
Is there anyone on the list with Group Health insurance? Do you know if they will approve an MRI? UAE? Thanks.
Guest guest
Thanks e. I think there might be a workaround (hoping) with the UAE. I am seeing another gyn who works with an IR that will have to do it as part of his examination. I may have him fight with the ins co. if they give me a problem. --- e pchelkajustine@...> wrote: > Fight with them!!!!!!!!!An MRI is one of the better > ways to see something.
