I had ectopic pregancy. The docotor injected

Methoteroxate right away. The first day after

injection, I had quite a few blood. The late second

day,I did not lose too much blodd. But I felt so weak.

When I got home after work, I got a fever. I was

wondering if the Methoteroxate was killing the embyo

or fibroid.Today is the 4th day after Methoteroxate

injection, I still got a little red blood. Is that

normal.

Your answer to this question is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

the lady next to me in the hospital also had an

etopic. She had the same medicine. They said that

the pregnancy would be reabsorbed and did mention

spotting as the chief side effect but I was trying be

invisible so I didn't hear everything or ask

questions. Try calling Walgreens pharmacies. Most

meds are in their computers

I'm sorry to hear about your ectopic pregnancy. Methotrexate is frequently

used as a treatment for an ectopic pregnancy, as an alternative to surgery.

Methotrexate works by interfering with folate, a vitamin that is needed for

the rapidly growing tissue of an ectopic pregnancy.

Here are some links to info about methotrexate:

I don't know whether it's normal to still be bleeding four days after a

methotrexate injection. I suggest asking your doctor.
