I agree whole heartedly with all the advice you've received and encouragement to

use a walker. I, too, am guilty of delaying that decision and harbored the same

thoughts that it would make me look old, etc. Not only will a walker make you

safer and help prevent debilitating injuries from a fall, but it will give you

confidence in your walking, too. Someone wiser than I on this list has

admonished. " If you are even thinking about whether or not you need a walker,

then you probably do (need one) " . I think that's very true. Listen to your

instincts and do it right away.
