Well ladies,

Its been interesting going down the fibroid road with everyone. I

went in to have my myo done on the 30th of April to wake up and find

out that no myo was completed just a biopsy once they got my uterus

open. Turns out I have adenomyosis which cannot be removed and I

have no chance of having a baby at all. I only have 2 choices, 1) is

lupron until it stops working and then I'd need a hysterectomy or 2)

skip the hormones and get a hysterectomy. Unfortunately, my

insurance ends on May 31st so I wouldnt be able to get the lovely

$400 shot each month.

I have decided to go ahead and have my hysterectomy on friday

(exactly one week later from my biopsy). The only real issue is the

fact that since I am anemic (level is a 7) I am going to have to get

a blood transfusion during the surgery.

As for my recovery thus far it really hasnt been so bad. I dont know

if thats just because I got a biopsy instead of a myomectomy or not.

I was up and walking the next day and was home sunday morning. I

didnt have a bad reaction to the anesthia but my roommate spent 2

days vomiting from it. I not sure which is worse, throwing up or

listening to someone throw up for 2 days. Its 3 days later and I

have stopped taking my pain killers and can walk up and downstair

okay. I just get a little light headed due to the anemia. But for

the most part I am just waiting for the real cutting to occur.

Wish me luck and keep me in your prayers. I am praying for all you

that have up coming surgeries.
