First of all, what is ttc ? Sorry I'm still trying to

understand some of the terms and abbreviations used in

this forum.

Dear Carla & other Ladies of the List (aka-- [also known as] " LOL " ):

Dorothy brings up a good point.

Do we have a FILE of the most-frequently used abbreviations that we could

make available to UF (Uterine Fibroid) list newcomers? I just flipped through

Carla's book, and found a few in her book's glossary---but is there another

acronym/abbreviation list?

BTW, FYI (Er, I mean.... " by the way " " for your information " .....) " ttc " is

" trying to conceive. "

There is a whole lexicon of terms used by the ttc-ers.....but we Fibroidians

have our share of them, too. And of course, I have to 'fess up to adding to

the growing list with a few acronyms of my own.

My own personal favorite contribution to " NUFF-speak " , is " G.O.D. " (Gyno of

Doom), which is an intimidating. authoritarian dictatorial, tyrannical

gynecologist who frightens patients with unfounded tales and unscientific

pronouncements of doom and gloom (e.g. " You can't have a myomectomy, Sharon!!

You'd die

from the blood loss!! " ) usually to influence the patient to undergo

unnecessary medical treatment for uterine fibroids.)

Is there such an on-line acronym-abbreviation list that I've overlooked?

Thanks! (TIA!!)
