HURRY HURRY - VOTE ON YOUR MEETUP LOCATION NOW:

I believe that the MeetUps folks schedule – or don’t schedule – MeetUps a

week before they occur. So, in order to have a meetup this month - Saturday

- March 20 - in your area, 5 people must VOTE ON A LOCATION before this

coming Saturday - March 13.

That means you gotta vote today or tomorrow !!

You can change areas & – traveling to a nearby area may be necessary in

order to ensure meetups occur – I’m sure as things move along there will be

more & more active meetup areas.

I live in Alameda County, CA but for this month, I’ve switched to San

Francisco. It looks like we’ll have a meetup happening in S.F. – 8 people

have voted on a location as of today. I'll definitely be there!

First, I’d like to invite / even encourage / those signed up in:

Alameda County;

San Mateo County;

Contra Costa County;

Santa Clara County;

Santa Cruz County & any other nearby areas to join the S.F. meetup this

month. You can switch by going to the uf meetups page and clicking at the

left on the “other cities” link. http://uterinefibroids.meetup.com/

Ladies in other parts of the country, if your area doesn’t have enough

voters for a meetup, I suggest you try moving to a nearby area also. I

note, for instance: Seattle has enough ladies signed up, but NOT enough

have voted on a location. However, Bellevue-East Side has 2 who could join

Seattle & vote on a location & maybe put that meetup “on the board.

Likewise, San Diego/N San Diego, Santa /other greater LA areas, etc.,

etc.

FIBROID INFO: Doing Your Homework/Become Educated About Fibroids & Your

Body:

I've been rereading Carla's book again -- and as usual am amazed by the

quality and quantity of info about fibroids which it contains. For all of

you who haven't yet read the book, I highly recommend it along with the

Goodwin/Broder book. You can get all sorts of tidbits of info and advice on

this list, but if you really want the dirt on fibroids -- educate yourself

-- read these two books (both available from Amazon & other places -- very

reasonable prices):

Carla Dionne: " Sex, Lies and the Truth About Uterine Fibroids . . . "

and

Drs. Goodwin & Broder: " What Your Doctor May Not Tell You

About Fibroids . . . "

and for all sorts of gyn info (and I'm constantly blown away by how little

women - really intelligent women -- know or understand about their own

bodies) -- including a great chapter on fibroids:

Dr. Wm. : " A Gynecologist's Second Opinion " (get the REVISED

Edition).

Also, take a look at Dr. 's new webpages on fibroids:

http://www.fibroidsecondopinion.com/

*****

Can't help it, as I read through the list, I often find myself thinking that

if only this or that poster had read these books, she'd know and understand

so much, much more than I could ever cram into a post here. So, I remind

about these publications once again.

--- And: Happy " Friday Eve " to All of You

(my excuse for Thursdays)

Pat
