Guest guest
Yes, I experienced nausea when my fibroids were at their worst. I had almost forgotten about that symptom because there were so many others. My nausea was at its worst when I was either menstruating or riding in a car. My doctor told me it was from the hormone fluxuations my body was experiencing from the pill I was taking. I could not ride in any smooth cars, it's a good thing my husband and I owned mostly pickups because I constantly had to stop for a traveling break and with the pickups at least the ride was rougher and bumpier than a smooth car. Now that my symptomatic fibroids are gone and I'm off the pill altogether I am ready for even a carnival ride! My monthly cycles are short and I only have breast swelling and pelvic bloating, no more nausea thank goodness. For those women with nausea symptoms who are seeking fibroid treatment, I wish you well. I hope you experience the same relief after your fibroids are removed. If you are taking the pill, can you try a different type or even use a different kind of birth control? If you are taking it for cycle regulation you might ask your doctor if you can try another brand. I was taking Low Overal-28 twice a day continuously for five years to keep from bleeding every month. It came along with its own cruddy side effects. After the third year it began to lose its effectiveness and I was bleeding all the time. I lived with it for two more years, my doctor telling me there were no other pills that would work (I know, I tried them all), so I finally went to a RE and they removed the fibroids. Best thing I ever did. Now I'm no longer on the pill. my hubby and I are TTC. When the time comes that I may ever need birth control again I will definitely consider a diaphragm instead of the pill. No side effects, has a high rate of success. Good luck. :)Sonja ps: When I knew I could not avoid riding in a smooth vehicle for an extended period of time it helped me to take something along that I could eat. I liked things that would take a lot of chewing to eat, the chewing kept me from focusing on the stomach flipping. Try gingersnaps. Ginger has an anti-nausea effect and the cookies help keep your jaw busy while you try not to think about nausea.
